    Plush Toy Wonderlings

Stomp back over 70 years with me. I’m Dai no Osore, the “Immense Dread” of 1950s Shinjuku. Said to predate a cinematic age, was I inspired by ancient reptiles?

Konnichiwa! I’m Dai no Osore, a plush dinosaur from Tokyo’s Shōwa era, a time when cinema roared to life and metal gave way to shiny new plastics.

Am I a T‑Rex? A Stegosaurus? Or just a cheeky trick of movie magic?

With my deep green fur and terrific dorsal fins, I’m a plush for those who see wonder in the fearsome and feel fondness for great beasts and the golden age of film.
